One man was killed and another wounded Saturday in a shooting in Winneconna Parkway on the South Side.

Tito Wade, 43, was on the sidewalk with a 31-year-old man about 10:10 p.m. in the 400 block of West 77th Street when someone inside a car began firing shots at them, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Wade was struck multiple times and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, authorities said. An autopsy conducted Sunday ruled his death a homicide by multiple gunshot wounds.

The 31-year-old was struck in the left leg and also taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where his condition was stabilized, police said.

No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
