A woman was fatally stabbed Friday in the South Shore neighborhood, according to police.

Officers were called about 8:30 p.m. for a stabbing at a home in the 7400 block of South Chappel and found 22-year-old Tearra B. Campbell unresponsive, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

She had been stabbed multiple times in the body and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. The incident appears to be domestic-related. An autopsy conducted Saturday ruled her death a homicide.

Area Central detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
