A man was shot dead Friday in West Humboldt Park, according to police.

Tellez Ricardo, 32, was standing on a sidewalk about 10:35 p.m. when a red car pulled up in the 1500 block of North Keeler and someone inside fired shots, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was struck in the chest and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he died, authorities said. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.

Area North detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
