A pair of armed robberies were reported last week in Kenwood and Oakland on the South Side.

In each case, one or two men came out of a vehicle, displayed a handgun and took property from someone, according to an alert from Chicago police.

Both robberies happened June 8, police said. The first happened about 4 a.m. in the 4800 block of South Dorchester Avenue, and the other occurred about 7 p.m. in the 3900 block of South Ellis Avenue.

The men are described as 18 to 25 years old, standing 6-feet to 6-foot-2 and weighing 175-180 pounds, police said.
