Police are warning residents of recent armed robberies in the Lawndale neighborhood.

A man in his early 20s has been approaching people with a gun and demanding their property, Chicago police said. He then leaves the area on foot.

The robberies happened:

  • about 2:15 p.m. June 7 in the 1100 block of South Whipple Street;
  • about 10:45 p.m. June 2 in the 1100 bock of South Troy Street; and
  • about 3:40 p.m. May 28 in the 3100 block of West Fillmore Street.
