Man killed in Schaumburg domestic incident: police

Officers responded to a home in the 1100 block of Stoughton Court and found the body of a 56-year-old man.

A man was killed in an apparent domestic incident Monday in northwest suburban Schaumburg, according to police.

Officers responded about 9:05 p.m. to a home in the 1100 block of Stoughton Court and found the body of a 56-year-old Nick Karras, Schaumburg police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

One person is in custody, authorities said. Detectives are investigating the death as a domestic-related incident.

Karras lived in the same block where he was found, the medical examiner’s office said.

Schaumburg police did not immediately reply to a request for additional details.
