The 26-year-old was outside when she was struck in the chest by gunfire.

A woman was fatally wounded by gunfire Sunday in Fuller Park.

Denise Weekly, 26, was outside about 4 a.m. in the 4900 block of South Princeton Avenue when shots rang out, Chicago police police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. She was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Authorities said witnesses were “uncooperative” with investigators.

No arrests have been made as Area Central detectives investigate.
