At least five people were wounded Monday in citywide shootings, the latest being a man shot in Englewood on the South Side.

The man, 24, was on the sidewalk about 11:30 p.m. in the 300 block of West 75th Street when he said he heard gunshots and realized that he was hit, Chicago police said.

He ran to his vehicle and drove himself to South Shore Hospital where he was treated for a graze wound to the left shin and gunshot wound to the right leg, police said. His condition was stabilized.

No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate the shooting.

A few hours earlier, a man was shot during an argument in Park Manor on the South Side.

The 55-year-old was arguing with an acquaintance about 6:35 p.m. on a sidewalk when the two began fighting, Chicago police said.

After the altercation, the acquaintance pulled out a gun, shot the man in the thigh and took off, police said. The shooting happened about 6:35 p.m. in the 100 block of West 72nd Street. The man was in good condition at St. Bernard Hospital.

About an hour before that, two teenagers were shot and wounded in Lawndale on the Southwest Side.

Two 19-year-olds were walking on a sidewalk in the 3700 block of West Douglas Boulevard about 5:30 p.m. when a black vehicle drove up, someone stepped out and fired shots, police said.

One teen was struck in the thigh, and the other was shot in the eyebrow, police said. Both men were both taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in good condition.

Just 10 minutes earlier, a man was shot in front of a home in Back of the Yards on the South Side.

The 18-year-old was in the 2100 block of West 50th Street at 5:20 p.m. when two people approached him and fired shots, police said.

He was struck in the arm and taken to St. Anthony Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Over the weekend, 20 people were shot — four of them fatally.
