A 15-year-old girl was wounded in a shooting Tuesday in South Chicago.

About 2:34 p.m. a red vehicle approached a group of people in the 2400 block of East 82nd Street, Chicago police said. Someone inside the vehicle fired shots, striking the girl in her arm.

She was taken to Trinity Hospital where her condition was stabilized, police said.

No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
