Woman shot by ex-boyfriend after argument in Lake View home: police

The 29-year-old woman suffered a graze wound to her lower back and her ex-boyfriend was taken into custody.

A woman was wounded in a shooting Saturday in Lake View on the North Side. 

About 12:50 a.m., the 29-year-old was arguing with her ex-boyfriend inside a home in the 400 block of West Briar Place when he opened fire, Chicago police said. 

She was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center with a graze wound to the lower back, police said. 

The ex-boyfriend was taken into custody at the scene, police said. Charges are pending. 

Area North detectives are investigating.
