A man was shot and wounded Monday while delivering food in Bridgeport on the South Side.

The 20-year-old dropping off food to a home in the 900 block of West 32nd Place at 7 p.m. when a gunman approached him and began firing, Chicago police said.

The man was struck in the arm and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

The shooting happened within a block of the Chicago Police 9th District station.

Area Central detectives are investigating. No arrests have been reported.
