Police are warning Bridgeport residents to light the perimeter of their homes following four reported burglaries in May in the Southwest Side neighborhood.

In each incident, the offender breaks into homes or garages and takes property, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The incidents occurred:

  • May 3 in the 3300 block of South Racine Avenue;
  • May 23 in the 3400 block of South Morgan Street;
  • May 26 in the 2800 block of South Hillock Avenue; and
  • May 27 in the 3000 block of South Loomis Street.

These incidents happened in the late morning and early afternoon hours, police said.

Police did not offer a description of the offender.

Anyone with information about these burglaries is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8382.
