A 19-year-old man was shot to death Thursday in south suburban Harvey.

Robert Shemwell-Ashford, 19, was shot in the neck about 8:50 p.m. in the 16000 block of Paulina Avenue, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He was pronounced dead at 9:45 a.m.

An autopsy released Friday ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said. Shemwell-Ashford was a resident of South Holland.

Harvey police, who were investigating the shooting, did not reply to multiple requests for comment.
