3 wounded in Austin shooting

They were in the 5100 block of West Chicago Avenue when they were shot, and one of them walked to a fire station for treatment.

Three men were wounded in a shooting Saturday in Austin on the West Side.

They were struck about 5:21 a.m. in the 5100 block of West Chicago Avenue, Chicago police said.

A 38-year-old walked to the Chicago Fire House on Chicago Avenue with gunshot wounds to the arm and chest, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition but later left the hospital.

Two other men, 29 and 34, took themselves to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park with gunshot wounds to the leg, police said. They are in good condition and the 29-year-old also left the hospital.

All three men have been uncooperative with investigators, and the circumstances of the shooting are unknown, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
