2 wounded in Austin shooting

The men were in the 1100 block of North Lorel Avenue when someone opened fire, police said.

A shooting Saturday in Austin on the West Side left two men wounded.

They were outside about 1:34 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Lorel Avenue when gunfire erupted, Chicago police said.

A 21-year-old was hit in the back and the other man, 20, was struck in the knee, thigh, hip and leg, police said. Both of their conditions were stabilized at West Suburban Medical Center.

Area North detectives are investigating.
