Two schools on the South Side were burglarized in July, according to Chicago police.

In each incident, someone got into the school through an unlocked door or by prying a window open, police said. Once they were inside, they forced open locked classrooms and offices and stole tablets and laptops.

The first burglary happened about 6:20 a.m. in the 2300 block of South Wabash Street in Bronzeville, police said. The second happened about 1 p.m. July 13 in the first block of West Cermak Road in the South Loop.

No description of the burglar was available.

Anyone with information about these burglaries is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8384.
