About 8:20 p.m., Curtis Davis was sitting in a vehicle in the 4000 block of West Grenshaw Street when he was shot in the back of the head, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The medical examiner’s office ruled Davis’ death a homicide in an autopsy conducted Sunday, saying he died of a gunshot wound to the head.
