Police are warning residents of Edgebrook on the Northwest Side after someone targeted homes in a trio of burglaries Monday.

In each case, someone gained entry into a home and took property from inside, Chicago police said in an alert.

The burglaries happened:

• At 2:30 p.m. in the 7100 block of North Caldwell Avenue

• At 5:01 p.m. in the 6200 block of West Devon Avenue

• Between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the 6700 block of North Central Avenue

In at least one incident, the suspect is described as a 25 to 35-year-old man standing 6-feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds, police said. He has short black hair and was seen driving a blue four-door sedan.

Police said this man is involved in at least one of the robberies.
