A man was charged in connection to a West Pullman drive-by that wounded a man Wednesday on the Far South Side.

Timothy Bland, 19, faces a felony count of aggravated unauthorized use of a loaded weapon in a shooting that led officers to chase a vehicle to the suburbs, according to Chicago police. Charges are pending against a second person.

Bland was allegedly one of the three people in a vehicle that approached a 25-year-old man about 11:10 p.m. in the 400 block of West 117th Street, police said.

Someone in the car fired shots and struck the man in the leg, police said. He was treated at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Officers chased the vehicle at least nine miles to the 700 block of Greenbay Avenue in south suburban Calumet City, where they arrested three males in the car, police said.

Bland was due for a bail hearing on Thursday.
