A woman and man were wounded in a shooting Thursday in Bronzeville on the South Side.

The pair were inside a vehicle about 8 p.m. in the 3900 block of South Indiana Avenue when a white SUV pulled up and someone inside fired shots, Chicago police said.

The 24-year-old woman was struck in her head, chest and abdomen, police said. The 23-year-old man was shot once in his shoulder and armpit, and twice in the thigh.

The woman was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, police said. The man was taken to the same hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
