Police are warning residents about thieves who took wheels from parked cars in Jefferson Park, Portage Park and Norwood Park on the Northwest Side.

In each theft, someone stripped wheels from Honda Accords that were parked on the street overnight, Chicago police said.

Two thefts happened between 6 p.m. Aug. 6 and 7:38 p.m. Aug. 7, police said. One in the 5100 block of West Newport Avenue and the other in the 5600 block of North Linder Avenue.

The third took place between 10:30 a.m. Aug. 12 and 1 a.m. Aug. 13 in the 5900 block of North Navarre Avenue, police said.

A description of any suspects was not immediately available.
