Two people, including a 17-year-old girl, were shot in a vehicle Saturday in Humboldt Park on the West Side.

They were sitting in the vehicle about 5:11 a.m. in the 3700 block of West Thomas Street when two males opened fire, Chicago police said. The man was struck in the buttocks, and the girl was hit in the ankle.

The teen and a 32-year-old man took themselves to Norwegian American Hospital where their conditions were stabilized, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
