A 19-year-old man was shot during an attempted robbery Saturday in South Shore.

He was standing in a lot about 9:40 p.m. in the 7600 block of South Exchange Avenue when two males tried robbing him, Chicago police said.

The man was struck in the leg, and his condition was stabilized at the University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.

No arrests have been made as Area South detectives investigate.
