2 men shot inside Gresham apartment

The male friend of a relative fired shots into the apartment after being asked to leave because of an altercation, police said.

Two men were shot inside an apartment in Gresham Sunday on the South Side. 

They were wounded about 1:36 a.m. in the 7900 block of South Wood Street when a male, who is a friend of a relative, fired shots into the apartment from the back porch after he was asked to leave because of an altercation, Chicago police said. 

A 26-year-old was hit twice in the abdomen and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition was stabilized, police said. The other man, 37, was hit in the leg and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition. 

No arrests have been reported. Area South detectives are investigating.
