A man arrested after a woman was found stabbed to death Thursday in Washington Park on the South Side was released without being charged.

Someone called 911 asking for help shortly before 8 a.m. in the 300 block of East 53rd Street, according to Chicago police.

Responding officers found Danielle Kizaire, 70, dead with stab wounds inside an apartment building, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy Friday found she died of multiple blunt and sharp force injuries, and her death was ruled a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.

Police said the stabbing appeared to be domestic in nature. A man was taken into custody, but he’d been released without charges as of Friday afternoon.
