Woman, 39, hurt in Englewood shooting

She was with a group of people outside in the 2000 block of West 70th Place when someone opened fire.

Two people were shot, one fatally, July 24, 2021, in Gage Park. — A woman was shot in the 2000 block of West 70th Place, Aug. 3, 2019, in Englewood.

A woman was wounded in a shooting Saturday in Englewood on the South Side.

She was outside with a group of people about 2 a.m. in the 2000 block of West 70th Place when a male on foot opened fire, Chicago police said. The 39-year-old was hit in the leg.

She took herself to Holy Cross Hospital where her condition was stabilized, police said.

No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
