Police are warning residents of a couple of robberies reported on Tuesday in Brighton Park on the Southwest Side.

In each of the two cases, someone approached a person and demanded property or took it by force, Chicago police said.

A robbery happened at 1 a.m. in the 4700 block of South Talman Avenue, police said. Another took place about a half an hour later in the 2600 block of West 47th Street.

The suspects in the robbery on Talman are described as two males, one of them standing 5-foot-6, police said. Two men between the ages of 35 and 40 were involved in the other incident. One sported a short beard and was wearing a black hoodie
