Indiana man charged with soliciting minor

An Indiana man has been charged with soliciting a minor after he was caught trying to meet up with a 14-year-old girl in South Shore.

Mitchell Mace, 53, was charged with felony counts of traveling to meet a minor and indecent solicitation, Chicago police said.

He was taken into custody after responding to an online advertisement about 11:10 a.m. Friday in which he made plans to have sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl, police said. When officers saw Mace getting out of his vehicle in the 2500 block of East 71^st Street, they arrested him on the spot.

Mace is due in bond court on Saturday.
