Police are looking for a person involved in burglaries in West Garfield Park on the West Side.

In each incident, the suspect attempted to enter an apartment through a window by pushing in an air conditioning unit and took small valuable items, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

In these incidents, victims were home and confronted the suspect, police said. He then fled on foot.

The offender targeted residences in the 4100 block of West Washington Boulevard four times between July 14 and July 15 in the morning hours.

Additional burglaries happened:

  • Between July 9 and July 15 in the 4300 Block of West Washington Boulevard;
  • Between July 19 and July 20 in the 200 block of North Karlov Avenue;
  • July 25 in the 4300 block of West End Avenue.

These burglaries happened during the early morning into the afternoon hours, police said.
