Chicago are hoping to identify this man wanted in connection with a felony theft that occurred July 16, 2019, in Grand Crossing.

Chicago police are looking for a man wanted in connection with felony merchandise thefts in Grand Crossing on the South Side.

The man is known to enter a store pretending to be interested in buying merchandise, according to a community alert from Chicago police. On at least two occasions, a clerk allowed him the man to inspect the merchandise, at which point he ran from the store without paying.

At least one theft happened July 16 about 11:35 a.m., in the 6700 block of South Stony Island Avenue, police said. Police did not provide the details of the other thefts.
