Three men were shot Thursday in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

A group of men were hanging out in an alley in the 6700 block of South Winchester at 8:43 p.m. when a dark-colored vehicle approached and an occupant fired shots, Chicago police said.

The vehicle took off and left three men wounded, police said.

One man, 48, was shot in the head and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, police said. His condition stabilized.

A 47-year-old, struck in the leg, was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, police said. His condition was stabilized.

The third man, 49, was shot in the leg, police said. His condition was stabilized at St. Bernard Hospital.

No arrests have been made, police said.
