Boy, 15, critically wounded in South Chicago drive-by

He was walking when someone in a passing gold-colored Chevy Caprice fired shots, police said.

A 15-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Saturday in South Chicago.

He was walking about 12:47 a.m. in the 8200 block of South Marquette Avenue when someone inside a passing gold-colored Chevy Caprice opened fire, Chicago police said.

The teen was hit numerous times in the upper and lower body, police said. He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

No arrests have been reported. Area South detectives are investigating.
