Man, 30, fatally shot in Lawndale

The 30-year-old was getting out of his vehicle about 6 a.m. in the 1800 block of South Keeler Avenue when someone fired shots at him, Chicago police said.

A 30-year-old man was shot to death Saturday in Lawndale on the West Side.

Jeramie Murry was getting out of his vehicle about 6 a.m. in the 1800 block of South Keeler Avenue when someone opened fire on him, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Murry, who lived in southwest suburban Justice, was struck multiple times and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

An autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
