A woman was wounded in a shooting Sunday on the South Side. 

The 47-year-old was standing outside about 6:30 a.m. in the 9700 block of South University Avenue when she heard gunfire and felt pain, Chicago police said. 

She was hit in the foot and her condition was stabilized at Trinity Hospital, police said. 

No arrests have been made. Area South detectives are investigating.
