Police are warning residents about a pair of strong-arm robberies last month in Galewood on the Northwest Side.

In each case, two suspects walked up to a victim, hit the person and took property from the victim’s pockets, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

One hold-up occurred at 2:38 a.m. Aug. 7 in the 6700 block of West Wabansia Street, police said. Another happened at 1:50 a.m. Aug. 28 in the 2200 block of North Nagle Avenue.

The suspects were both described as males taller than 5-foot-7, police said. One of them wore brown boots.
