Two apartments were burglarized in Lawndale

A burglary took place in the 1500 block of South Drake Avenue on Sept. 11, 2019, and another about a block away.

Police are warning Lawndale residents after two apartments were burglarized last week blocks away from each other on the West Side.

In each case, someone forced their way into the apartment through a window and stole property from inside, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The first burglary happened between 10:45 a.m. and 11 a.m Sept. 11 in the 1500 block of South Drake Avenue, police said. The other occurred about 5:33 p.m. the following day in the 1400 block of South Drake Avenue.

A description of any suspects wasn’t immediately available.
