A 17-year-old boy was shot to death on Labor Day in south suburban Riverdale.

Roosevelt Bourne III was shot about 10:37 p.m. Monday at 137th Street and Atlantic Avenue, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Bourne was pronounced dead within an hour, the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy released Tuesday found Bourne died of multiple gunshot wounds. His death was ruled a homicide.

Riverdale police did not respond Tuesday evening to a request for comment.
