At least five thefts to vehicles have been reported within the last several days near Goose Island.

In each of the incidents, someone broke the window of a vehicle and stole property from inside, Chicago police said.

The thefts happened:

  • between 6:30 p.m. and 11:10 p.m. Aug. 28 in the 1500 block of North Magnolia Avenue;
  • between 6:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. Aug. 30 in the 1400 block of North Elston Avenue;
  • between 8 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Aug. 30 in the 1400 block of North Elston Avenue;
  • about 8:15 p.m. Sept. 1 in the 1500 block of North Magnolia Avenue; and
  • between 3 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Sept. 2 in the 1400 block of North Elston Avenue.
