Hit-and-run driver flees after vehicle strikes Gresham storefront

The vehicle was found in a store front in the 7900 block of South Ashland Avenue, police said.

A vehicle crashed into a store Jan. 24, 2020 in the 7900 block of South Ashland Avenue.

A driver ran away after a vehicle struck and damaged a store Friday in Gresham on the South Side.

Officers found the unoccupied vehicle in a storefront about 10:10 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Ashland Avenue, Chicago police said.

No one was hurt, and no one is in custody, police said. The crash remains under investigation as a hit-and-run.
