Store entrance shattered in South Loop

Someone broke the store’s glass entrance with an object about 2 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Canal Street, police said.

The front door of a store was shattered Monday in the South Loop.

Someone broke the glass entrance with an unknown object about 2 a.m. at a retail business in the 1200 block of South Canal Street, Chicago police said. An employee didn’t see or hear the incident but found the shattered glass.

A 24-hour Walgreens is located in that block near the intersection of Canal and Roosevelt Road.

Officers found no evidence of gunfire and no one was injured, police said.

No arrests have been made. Area Central detectives are investigating.
