A man died in a crash Monday afternoon in Brighton Park on the South Side.

Torrence Walker, 24, lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree about 12:40 p.m. in the 3400 block of South Western Avenue, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Walker was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital and pronounced dead, police said.

An autopsy released Tuesday ruled Walker died of injuries from the crash, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled an accident.
