A 17-year-old boy is in serious condition after being shot Saturday in Humboldt Park on the Northwest Side.

About 12:50 a.m., he was sitting in a parked car in the 3800 block of West Augusta Boulevard, when two males approached and fired shots, Chicago police said.

He was struck in the back and brought to Stroger Hospital for treatment, police said.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
