Man found shot to death in Lawndale

A man was found with a fatal gunshot wound Thursday in Lawndale on the West Side, police said.

Quntrell Walls, 31, was found with a gunshot wound to the head about 8:46 p.m. in an alley in the 4900 block of West Lexington Street, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Walls lived in Austin on the West Side, according to the medical examiner’s office.

No one is in custody as Area Four detectives conduct a homicide investigation.
