Officers found the man unresponsive on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his back, Chicago police said.

A man was killed in a shooting Friday in Englewood on the South Side, police said.

Officers responded to a call of a person down about 4 p.m. in the 5900 block of South LaSalle Street and found the man unresponsive on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his back, Chicago police said.

Victor A. Garcia DeAlba was pronounced dead at the scene, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

No arrests have been reported. Area One detectives are investigating.
