A 46-year-old man who was shot in October died of his injuries Tuesday, according to a medical examiner’s report.

Francisco Sales was shot twice in the back Oct. 27 while after entering a vehicle in Pilsen on the Lower West Side, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Someone ran up to him about 6:40 a.m. in the 1300 block of West Cermak Road and fired shots, police said.

Sales drove to 30th and Halsted streets in Bridgeport, where paramedics found him and brought him to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

He was pronounced dead at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday, according to the medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.
