Altgeld Gardens armed robberies: Victims robbed at gunpoint on Corliss and Ellis avenues

Police said two males, in some cases wearing ski masks, are involved.

A child was fatally shot June 25, 2021, in Burbank. — Several victims were robbed at gunpoint in Altgeld Gardens.

Armed robberies were reported in January and February in Altgeld Gardens on the Far South Side.

In each incident, two armed males approach victims, flashed a gun and demanded their property, Chicago police said in a community alert. In some cases the males wore ski masks.

The armed robberies happened during the evening to early morning hours:

Jan. 23 in the 13300 block of South Corliss Avenue;
Jan. 30 in the 13100 block of South Ellis Avenue; and
Feb. 1 in the 13100 block of South Corliss Avenue.
