A man was killed and two others wounded Thursday in shootings across Chicago.
The man, 24, was found shot to death inside a vehicle in Roseland on the South Side.
He was found by a neighbor who noticed his vehicle parked in an alley for hours in the 9900 block of South State Street, Chicago police said. When officers were called about 12:15 p.m., they found the man with a gunshot wound to the back of his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Later in the afternoon, a man and woman were wounded in Humboldt Park on the West Side.
They were sitting in a parked vehicle about 4 p.m. in the 2900 block of West Augusta Boulevard when someone drove up alongside and opened fire, Chicago police said. A 49-year-old woman was struck in the forearm while a man, 42, was shot in the leg.
They were both taken to Stroger Hospital, where they were listed in good condition, police said.
