A puppy was stolen from a pet shop last week in west suburban Aurora.

Employees noticed the Shih Tzu puppy had been taken from its cage between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Furry Babies shop in the Fox Valley Mall, Aurora police said.

The one-month-old brown and white puppy, which is worth $3,400, is about the size of a person’s hand and weighs a few pounds, police said.

Anyone with information about the dog is asked to contact Aurora police at 630-256-5500.
