Parked vehicles broken into in Chinatown, Bridgeport: police

In each incident, someone broke the windows of parked vehicles and stole items, police said.

Three vehicles were broken into in January and February 2020 in Bridgeport and Chinatown.

Chicago police are warning of three recent incidents in which someone broke into a parked vehicle in Chinatown and Bridgeport on the South Side.

In each incident, someone broke the windows of the vehicle and stole items, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The thefts happened:

  • Between 5 p.m. Jan. 25 and 8 a.m. Jan. 26 in the 500 block of West 24th Street;
  • Between 5 p.m. Feb. 18 and 8:25 a.m. Feb. 19 in the 2400 block of South Archer Avenue; and
  • Between 1:20 a.m. and 2:05 a.m. Feb. 25 in the 500 block of West 24th Place.
