Man fatally shot in Englewood: police

A 40-year-old man was shot dead in Englewood Tuesday on the South Side.

Issac Brown was standing in the street about 3 p.m. in the 6000 block of South Wolcott Avenue when someone approached him and opened fire, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was hit multiple times, and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he died, police said.

He lived in Bronzeville, the medical examiner’s office said.

Area South detectives were investigating.
